Design
Using the SL600 as a starting point, the AMG group turned the car into the pavement-gobbling, turn-busting, eye-turning car you see here. A hand-built, 6.0L, intercooled, twin turbo V12 churns out an incredible 604-hp. The engine is built by a single AMG technician. If he calls in sick, his engine sits covered and untouched until the artist returns. They are even autographed. The SL65 is yet another mind-blowing effort by Mercedes-Benz.
Installation
Al & Ed's technicians integrated the client's iPod into the factory radio and display monitor, then added speakers, amps and subs to make the car sound awesome. Vertical Doors made a custom kit of their "Lambo-Style" doors for the MBZ. Custom NC Forged wheels and huge Brembo discs and calipers round out this car's rolling package. A Raytell Bluetooth hands-free kit was flushed into the ashtray area for a custom, factory look. Brushed aluminum, lighted AMG door sills were added for a little flash. |
