History:
Founded by Al Brotzky and Ed Zionts in 1954, the company has grown to become California’s largest mobile electronics and communications specialist. Al & Ed’s Autosound founded the Mobile Electronics Certification Program, as well as the mobile division for the Electronics Industry Alliance, now under the Consumer Electronics Association.
As one of the originators of the mobile electronics industry, Al & Ed’s Autosound was instrumental in the pioneering of innovations such as FM radio for cars, cassette players for cars and the first car alarms, and is viewed within the mobile electronics world as a “barometer for the industry.”
Management:
With the retirement of founder Al Brotsky in 2001, the leadership of the company was assumed by then 15-year Al & Ed’s franchise veteran, Gabi Mashal as President. Along with a talented assortment of mobile electronics executives, this team powers the vision and innovation behind the company’s services and product offerings.

Al & Ed’s Autosound has 25 Southern California stores with future growth contemplated to include franchise expansion to other California areas and into neighboring states.

Al & Ed’s Autosound sells and installs top brand mobile electronics including car stereos, CD changers, amplifiers, speakers, equalizers and processors, mobile theater systems, navigation systems, security systems, radar detectors, cellular phones and accessories, satellite radio and general motoring accessories from a variety of manufacturers, as well as offers a group of private label products featuring the MobilWorks line of car alarms and audio/video components.
