KTP-445 Power Pack 4 Channel Head Unit Amplifier

For those consumers who want to improve the sound of their system, but dont want to purchase separate amplifiers, Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. is offering a new Head Unit Power Pack expansion module. The KTP-445 packs big power in a small space, providing an easy power upgrade for improved sound quality.

The KTP-445 is a unique product that connects to any 2008 Alpine head unit. Its narrow size and slim width allows it to fit behind the head unit in the dash cavity of most vehicles. The KTP-445 connects in-line with the head units power harness, without the need for additional wiring or special tuning. A high/low gain switch allows the Head Unit Power Pack to work with any Alpine head unit with a black wiring harness right out of the box, yet it also has a built-in selectable HP crossover (Off/80/120Hz @ -12dB/Oct) for system expansion.

The KTP-445 amplifies the head unit power output to a clean 45W x 4 RMS (CEA-2006 rated), significantly increasing power output over the typical 16 to 18W RMS and providing more headroom for music dynamics. The result is a 150 percent power increase compared to the power from the built-in head unit amplifier. The KTP-445 uses an advanced digital design that provides an extremely clean power output with very high efficiency, making the bass tighter and highs clearer.

The amplification module has a new digital switch mode technology based on trickle-down technologies from Alpines award-winning PDX amplifiers. The units efficient digital technology keeps cool under the toughest conditions.
