Microphone Included

This unit comes with all that’s needed for Bluetooth® convenience. The CDE-136BT comes with a tuned microphone that’s engineered to reduce noise interference and feedback. This allows optimal placement in your car, for the best possible sound quality.

How it Works

Now, make and take phone calls conveniently. When a call comes in, your music mutes to carry the phone call. You can set up your cell phone/head unit to automatically answer your calls. Call waiting allows you to manage two phone calls at the same time. View caller information including caller ID, missed, dialed, and received calls right from the head unit display. Use the supplied microphone to speak, and then listen through your car’s speakers. Once the call is finished, the music plays again. This truly makes the transition from your phone calls to music an enjoyable, convenient driving experience. You can even use the CDE-136BT’s preset buttons to quickly jump through your phone book, making navigation through large phone books much faster.

Audio Streaming

Do you have a large music library on your phone? The CDE-136BT can stream and control music via the built-in A2DP and AVRCP protocol. This allows you to stream and control your favorite music from any Bluetooth-enabled smartphone, whether it’s from a music app or from the music stored in your phone’s memory.

Simple Plug-in with Front USB Port and Front Auxiliary Input

With a dedicated USB input and USB cable, you can even connect USB memory devices like thumbdrives. Song lists on USB devices are displayed in alphabetical order, and allows eight levels of file / folder search capabilities. This unit will find music files while ignoring other file types on the USB device.

Note: MP3 device or cell phone can only be independently controlled through the head unit when using the USB connection, not with the Auxiliary connection.

The CDE-136BT comes equipped with 3 pairs of RCA pre-amp outputs, one pair each for the front, rear, and subwoofer channels. This allows virtually unlimited system upgrade opportunities, allowing you to add multiple amplifiers, speakers, and subwoofers to create your ideal in-car sound experience.

Built-in Equalizer

Select from 10 different EQ modes to get the best sound from all your sources. (Flat/Pops/Rock/News/Jazz/Elec Dance/Hip Hop/Easy Lis/Country/Classical). If the Equalizer presets aren’t enough for your listening taste, there’s a 3-Band Parametric Equalizer you can adjust and save as a user preset for a better sound response curve. The setting – Bass, Mid and Treble- can be adjusted in the 3-Band Parametric mode.

With Alpine, expect the premium sound your ears deserve. This head unit allows you to customize your crossover adjustments so you can control where you send high and low frequencies, so you get the best sound out of your factory or upgraded system. Of course for a true power upgrade just add-on the KTP-445 Power Pack to instantly increase your head unit’s power to a true 45wx4 RMS, now we-re talking about some serious sound!

Control iPhone® PANDORA® from your Dash

Bring more enjoyment to your daily drive with music that you love, while at the same time, discovering new music that you like! With the CDE-136BT, there is no need to interact with your iPhone® because the CDE-136BT is a dedicated receiver that provides seamless control of your iPhone® and plays PANDORA® over your in-vehicle audio system. Enjoy easy operation of your favorite PANDORA® channels with the large Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down buttons directly on the faceplate, QuickSearch features, and even the ability to create a new PANDORA® station on the go. The CDE-136BT meets the specifications for "Made for iPhone®" and "Works with iPhone®" compatibility and is exclusively engineered with PandoraLink® to deliver a superior PANDORA® experience inside your car.

Connect your iPod® or iPhone® using the USB cable that came with your iPod® or iPhone® and you've got access to all your music, right from your head unit.Adding the optional heavy-duty, automotive-grade Alpine KCU-445I iPod®/iPhone® cable is an even better option, since it will stand up to the rigors of in-car use unlike the cable supplied with your iPod® or iPhone®. With USB you get convenient control so you can scroll through all your Playlists, Artists, Albums, and Songs - and view all your song information right from the head unit display. Enjoy all your music whether from your iPod® or iPhone®, Alpine brings the music to your car.

iPod®/iPhone® Passenger Control

Friends managing music in your car earning the coveted passenger seat just got easier. The CDE-136BT has a “Passenger Control Mode” that gives the passenger control of the tunes directly from the iPod’s or iPhone’s menu. The driver still has play/pause, track up/down, and volume control right from the CDE-136BT’s faceplate. When the driver wants to take control again, a 1 second press of the volume knob switches the control from the iPod® back to the CDE-136BT’s menu.

With so many ways to listen to thousands of songs, now you can get super-fast access to artists, songs, albums, playlists, and radio stations.Large control buttons and a rotary encoder make it easy to scroll through all your sources, including your iPod®, Radio stations and CD's. No interruptions, while you search, just let the Alpine play.

Percentage Search

For especially big music libraries, Percentage Search function uses the preset buttons for quick jumps to specific parts of the list. Save yourself from scrolling through each song one by one, when you can just jump to a segment of your library with a touch of a button.

Charge your iPhone®

Standard in-vehicle solutions may drain the battery of your iPhone®, but with the CDE-136BT, your iPhone® charges via the USB cable, so you can enjoy nonstop music and recharge your iPhone® at the same time.

Steering Wheel Control

If your car has factory Bluetooth® steering wheel controls, then it will also control your new CDE-136BT’s built-in Bluetooth®. Or, control your head unit right from your factory installed steering wheel controls by adding a third party adapter.
